I came across this post on Defamer and thought it was kind of cute. In a nutshell, footage of a 15-year-old boy playing The Office theme on a piano ran at the close of last night's (rerun) episode. Because it was titled "In Memoriam," people lit up the message boards with questions regarding the clip. Turns out, the young man died of pneumonia at the end of March, but had posted his Office clip on YouTube just a few weeks prior. According to the Boston Globe:
A few weeks before his death, Nathan was at a friend's house, and the two were talking about "The Office," their favorite television show. Nathan's friend suggested he play the theme music to the program, so Nathan looked online for the sheet music. Nathan mastered the song almost instantly, and his impromptu performance was filmed and posted on YouTube.
It was pretty sweet of the Office folks to pay tribute to Nathan, I think.
