When I saw the 'Guess the Chest!' game on EW.com this afternoon I thought "Hot dog! I'll nail it!" Because I assumed it would mostly feature chests that are currently showing (or were at least shown somewhat recently). That was an incorrect assumption and it did affect my score; apparently, I just don't recognize a lot of "classic" hairy chests. Still, I got a very respectable score (if there is such a thing for such a game) - I got 14 right, which, according to EW.com, means "you've got a thing for hairy chests, don't you? But then, you already knew that." I really don't, EW, I really don't. I just devote a lot of brain space to completely useless information!
Some of them I knew right away, some of them were educated guesses and some were known just by process of elimination (a lot of the answer choices are recurring). You have to keep score yourself but if you need to kill a few minutes, give it a whirl.

Fantastic Contraption
I actually came across this site yesterday but waited to post about it because I felt like I had too many posts working yesterday as it was. I found Fantastic Contraption via EW.com's Popwatch - it's basically a Flash game in which you must utilize an understanding of basic physics to move a ball across the screen.Well, it lost me right there. Come on - I mean, I've always known that the sciences are not my forte. Still, I gave it a whirl and played it a bit during my lunch yesterday. Ho. Ly. Crap. I feel stoooooopid. Great googlymoogly - am I the simplest of the simple or what?! There are 11 levels and at present I've completed 5. That's right. 5. What's worse is once you finish a level, you can see what designs other people used to complete the same level. Oh my God! People built catapults and horse and chariots and all kinds of crap. It's insane!! (And frustrating. And addictive...)

Flight of the Hamsters
Surprise! I have again been perusing the Web for interesting tidbits and came across this site, courtesy of EW.com:

And it is super addicting!! The only bummer is that you can't ever completely mute the game - you can turn off the background song but not the hamster wheel squeaks or hamster squeals. I usually listen to music at my desk so I either have to have no sound at all or my boss will be confused as to why paperwork now sounds so fun ...
It took me a few tries to get the hang of it and I'm still not too skilled but it is a fun way to pass the time. Totally one of those "Let me just try one more time ..." games where you wind up playing for a good half hour longer than you meant to!
