Much as I'm sure Tiger Woods was relieved when news of Jesse James' marital scandal(s) broke, Tom Cruise must be thanking his lucky stars that, once again, Mel Gibson has taken up the mantle as Craziest Celebrity on Earth. Seriously. I have been woefully out of the entertainment loop for some time now (I hung my head in shame when my dad expected me to know more about the cast departures on CSI:NY and I had nothing to offer) but even I haven't escaped the wall-to-wall coverage of Mel's whackadoo tapes.
